Data Automation Engineer (Berlin/hybrid)
♾️ ETERNO is an innovative company at the intersection of technology and healthcare. Our vision: to make medical care more efficient, digital, and at the same time, more human.
♾️ Your mission
Python | TypeScript | AWS | Data Pipelines | Serverless | BI | Workflow Automation | AI-enabled Automation
We build ETERNO Cloud, the operating system for modern medical practices. It brings the core workflows of a medical practice into one cloud SaaS platform. Behind that product, our teams rely on clean data flows, reliable dashboards, workflow automations, and internal integrations to move fast while keeping systems reliable, secure, and maintainable.
You build and own the data pipelines, BI foundations, workflow automations, and internal integrations that help ETERNO teams work faster and make better decisions. You write maintainable code, work with AWS infrastructure, and use automation tools where they make systems simpler instead of more fragile.
🏄♂️ What you shape and build
Data pipelines that move product and business data into reliable reporting and automation flows
BI foundations, dashboards, and recurring reports for internal teams and customer-facing insights
Workflow automations that reduce manual work across product, operations, finance, sales, and engineering
Internal integrations between SaaS tools, APIs, data sources, and AWS services
Permission and access structures for BI, automation, and data tools that keep sensitive data protected
Data quality checks, monitoring, and observability for pipelines and automations
Small internal tools, services, and full-stack improvements where they are the right solution
AI-enabled automations that improve speed and quality while keeping engineering judgment, ownership, and review standards high
⚖️ What you care about
Reliable data that teams can actually trust
Automation that removes repetitive work without creating hidden complexity
Clear ownership from implementation to production
Security, privacy, permissions, and maintainability as everyday engineering concerns
Working closely with engineering, product, and business teams to understand real workflow problems
Reducing complexity instead of moving it somewhere else

About ETERNO
ETERNO was founded out of a desire to fundamentally rethink healthcare.
What began as a vision is now gradually becoming a reality.
ETERNO was founded in 2019 by Maximilian Waldmann and Frederic Haitz.
Max grew up in a family of doctors and saw early on how much time is wasted in the day-to-day running of a practice not on patients, but on bureaucracy, documentation, and inefficient systems.
Together, Max and Fredo have been building software companies for over 15 years—with a mission to radically simplify complex systems.
At the heart of it all is our ETERNO Cloud: an AI-powered operating system for medical practices that unifies all core processes into a single system.
From appointment scheduling and digital medical history to documentation and billing, all the way through to reporting, patient communication, and intelligent decision support.
Our goal: to reduce the operational burden of daily practice and deliver noticeably better care.
A key difference: We don’t develop our product in isolation.
Through our ETERNO Spaces, we operate our own fully equipped medical practice locations and work closely with doctors and their teams.
These locations cover a broad range of specialties—from preventive care to acute and elective medicine, outpatient procedures, and state-of-the-art diagnostics.
These locations are our real-world environment for understanding workflows, testing solutions, and continuously improving them.
This results in software that isn’t just theoretically sound, but actually works in everyday practice and has already been experienced by millions of patients.
Today, over 150 employees are working on this mission.
And more than 1,000 practices and locations already rely on our solutions.
Our goal is clear:
We are building the leading operating system for medical practices and are actively shaping the future of outpatient care.
